STARS E-Bulletin

Welcome to the April 2008 STARS E-Bulletin.
We welcome any suggestions or contributions for next month's issue.

CHARLES LOBBAN
20th January 1950 - 3rd April 2008

Many of you will be very sad to learn that Charles died suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday 3 April 2008.
As Trudie's husband, he had been at her side since the inception of STARS in 1993 and was a stalwart supporter, working tirelessly for the charity with Trudie to make it the success that it is today.
We can think of no greater accolade than to adapt that well-known saying 'behind every successful woman is a good man' .His commitment and dependability will be missed by us all, members, medical professionals and industry alike. Trudie, Charlotte and Francesca have been comforted by all the tributes that have flooded in and say thank you to everyone for their kindness and thoughts at this very sad time.
As you can imagine, this has had a major impact on all our activities and we ask you to bear with us in the coming weeks.

Fundraising for STARS

We are always looking for new ways of raising funds to support STARS. Here are two very easy ways everyone can help us when using the internet:
1. Every-click Is a search engine – so when you are hunting around looking for information use ‘every click’ each time you search by clicking on www.everyclick.com and taking a minute to register for STARS!!
2. Another simple way when shopping online is to use the www.easyfundraising.org.uk site. Again you have to register with STARS (please look carefully as several other charities have stars in their name). Up to 15% from every purchase you make could be donated to STARS! It doesn't cost you a penny extra!!
