Those who did not attend this year’s STARS conference at HRC 2007 missed a treat!
One of the highlights of the day included a debate between three leading specialists in their field, Prof Richard Sutton, Dr Steve Parry and Prof Bob Sheldon ( from Canada), who battled it out to decide who should run blackout services. Each expert was so persuasive and highlighted the very real need for rapid access blackout clinics.
With a combination of clinical and patient led presentations, the sessions were packed with both STARS members and medical professionals, and all parties joined in the lively debate that followed. The day also enabled a number of STARS members to meet for the first time, share their experiences, and speak to the medical experts. Pictures and a more detailed account of the day will appear in the New Year edition of the STARS newsletter. Photographs can be download here.
Presentations are available for medical professional upon request (contact Nyree)
