Let us provide you with a helping hand in promoting your Payroll Giving scheme to employees.
Whilst providing a payroll giving service to your employees is one thing, encouraging them to sign up to it is a completely different matter. The information below will give you a helping hand in looking at the best ways to have a succesful scheme.
Here's a few tips to get things moving:
Teaser campaign eg. Desk drop
Messages on pay slips - maybe able to tie in with Christmas eg. ‘Why not give a gift for Christmas that lasts all year!'
Leaflets with pay slips - explaining the payroll giving scheme, how it works, how easy it is to participate
Posters - simple poster calling people to contact the payroll department for a form.
Emails - Charities Trust can provide some ideas on highlighting the payroll giving scheme and also allowing employees to download a form to complete.
Staff newsletters/magazines - Newsletters would be good to call to action by providing a form that can be completed and returned to your payroll department. Also a great way to promote the prize draw and incentives as well as giving feedback in a later edition how the launch of the scheme has gone.
Presentations to staff - Using STARS Professional Fundraisers are a great way for employees to be made aware of the scheme and is recommended to occur at least twice a year
Managers' briefing packs - make sure all managers are aware of the scheme and will champion the scheme.
Intranet - this can be a great place to inform your colleagues what the company does for charity/the community/the environment etc.
Screen savers - a message on everyone's computer screen again asking them to ‘give small change to make a big difference.'
Feedback - the response of a campaign and the number of employees participating.
Media launch - maybe involve the local newspaper to inform them of monies raised of the charity to be benefiting.
