Diving world record broken for STARS

Over £1000 was raised this Summer for STARS when Mark Brimble and Jan Burt from the Aloha Dive Centre in Limassol, Cyprus broke the World Record by remaining totally submerged for 24 hours without any breaks.

Grandmother dives for STARS

Grandmother, Jan Turrell, went skydiving this summer with her partner John Edgcumbe and raised over £1000 for STARS. She and John, who live in Surrey, completed a 10,000 feet skydive – a first for both of them! Her grandson, Owen, aged 15 years, calls her his ‘adrenaline junkie Nan’!

Paul Clements - Cycled John O'Groats to Lands End

I cycled from John O'Groats leaving on the evening of Wednesday 24th May 2006 to cycle the 953 miles in 15 days and arrived at Land's End on Thursday 8th June 2006.

I did this to raise money for the charity that heightens awareness for people who suffer with the various types of Heart Rhythm Disorder as I have been a sufferer of this condition for over 10 years.

Andy Evans, Gary Evans, Dick Highton, Matt Partner and Dave Smith from Tring raised around £1000 cycling from London to Oxford to raise money for STARS. Great effort - thanks to all involved!

Christopher Pelly (aged 67) is the father of Mandy Warren, one of STARS’s adult sufferers of RAS and each year spends a month cycling in Europe in aid of a charity. Previous trips have included Poole to John O’Groats & Orkney and 1500 miles from Paris to Venice.
